This June and July, Franco Fagioli performs lyrical and virtuoso arias by Mozart, featured on his recent debut album Anime Immortali by Pentatone. On June 25 and June 27, he is joined by the Capella Cracoviensis, under the baton of Jan Tomasz Adamus, at the Festival Bachowski Świdnica and the Slowacki Theatre in Krakow.

On July 1 and July 7, he reunites with the Kammerorchester Basel and first violin Daniel Bard. Their collaboration on Anime Immortali, a joint musical direction effort, brings them together once again, this time performing at the Residenz in Würzburg and later at the Stadtkirche Rheinfelden. Anime Immortali explores the music that Mozart composed for castrati. Ranging from opera to sacred music and culminating in “Exsultate, jubilate,” the recorded works share a sublime and profound character, demonstrating Mozart’s strong connection to the castrato voice.
