Franco Fagioli reunites with the Kammerorchester Basel and il Giardino Armonico for a tour of Handel’s gripping opera Tolomeo. Fagioli embodies the exiled Egyptian prince, forced to hide his identity. The drama unfolds through arias that shift from charming pastorals to the depths of despair, all brought to life by Handel’s stunning music. Led by conductor Giovanni Antonini, Fagioli shares the stage with a stellar cast, including Giulia Semenzato as Seleuce, Riccardo Novaro as Araspe, Giuseppina Bridelli as Elisa, and Christophe Dumaux as Alessandro.

Fagioli’s own exploration of Handel includes an album featuring 14 arias, showcasing the emotional spectrum of Baroque opera, released by Deutsche Grammophon. Recorded with the Il Pomo d’Oro orchestra under Zefira Valova, it offers a glimpse into Fagioli’s artistry. For more information and purchase links, please visit Franco’s Recordings.
